Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York nurtured by a Jamaican heritage and cultivated by the city of Toronto, Dominique Burnside is a multidisciplinary artist ranging from fashion often as the muse, djing, event producing and curating. She is a previous graduate from Sheridan College for Advertising and Marketing and currently attending OCADU for her BA in Criticism and Curatorial Studies. Her practice delves within identity, memorabilia and the space in which there is “otherness”. This allows her to worldbuild in various areas whether that has to do with cultivating space for specifically people of color to creating soundscapes that allows others to come on an ethereal journey.
